Why this happens
Lansoprazole reduces stomach acid, while apixaban is an anticoagulant (blood thinner). Lansoprazole does not significantly change how apixaban is absorbed, broken down by the liver, or removed from the body. Furthermore, they work in different ways and do not interfere with each other's effectiveness.
