Can endometriosis be misdiagnosed?

Dr Sarah Jarvis MBE

Period pain is something no one enjoys but almost every woman experiences at some point in her life. Usually, it's at its worst during the first two or three days of your period and can be eased with simple painkillers or a hot water bottle. But for some women the pain can be more severe and could be an indication of an underlying problem such as endometriosis.
