There is no known harmful interaction between biotin (Vitamin B7) and Vitamin D. It is generally safe to take these two supplements together.
Why this happens
Biotin and Vitamin D are processed by the body using different pathways. Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin, while Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. They do not compete for absorption in the gut, nor do they interfere with how the other is broken down or used by the body.
What you should do
You can continue to take both supplements as directed by your healthcare provider or the product packaging. However, be aware that high doses of biotin can interfere with certain laboratory blood tests (such as thyroid or heart enzyme tests). If you are having blood work done, inform your doctor or the lab technician that you are taking a biotin supplement.
Important precautions
Blood tests
Biotin can significantly interfere with laboratory blood tests, including thyroid function and heart attack markers (troponin), leading to dangerously incorrect results. You must stop taking biotin at least 48 hours before having any blood tests and inform your doctor.
Food and drink warnings
High-fat meals
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. It is absorbed much more effectively when taken with a meal that contains some fat (such as eggs, avocado, nuts, or dairy). Taking it on an empty stomach may reduce its effectiveness.
Raw egg whites
Consuming large amounts of raw egg whites over a long period can prevent your body from absorbing biotin. This is because raw egg whites contain a protein called avidin that binds to biotin. Cooked eggs do not cause this issue.

Can I take Maitake and Turkey tail together?
There are no known harmful interactions between maitake and turkey tail mushrooms. Both are medicinal fungi that are often taken together to support the immune system. However, because both can stimulate the immune system, there is a theoretical possibility of an additive effect.

Can I take Magnesium and Wegovy flextouch together?
There is no known direct interaction between magnesium supplements and Wegovy (semaglutide). However, both can affect your digestive system. Wegovy slows down how quickly your stomach empties, which could theoretically change how quickly your body absorbs magnesium, though this is rarely a clinical concern. Additionally, both can cause side effects like nausea or changes in bowel habits (magnesium often softens stools, while Wegovy can cause constipation or diarrhoea).
