Can I take Omeprazole and Ramipril together?

Why this happens

Omeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor for stomach acid) and ramipril (an ACE inhibitor for blood pressure) are processed by different pathways in the body and do not interfere with how the other works.

Lupus (SLE)

Seek medical advice if you develop a skin rash, especially in areas exposed to the sun, as omeprazole can trigger or worsen a rare autoimmune condition called Subacute Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus.

Alcohol

It is best to avoid or strictly limit alcohol while taking ramipril. Alcohol can increase the blood-pressure-lowering effect of the medicine, which may make you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or faint, especially when you first start taking it or when your dose is increased.
