Why this happens

It is generally safe to eat these as part of a normal diet. However, if you are taking them as concentrated supplements, you should monitor your blood sugar levels closely, especially if you have diabetes. If you notice symptoms like dizziness, shakiness, or unusual bruising, speak to your doctor. Stop taking high-dose supplements at least two weeks before any scheduled surgery.

Bleeding disorders or surgery

These supplements may slow blood clotting and increase the risk of bleeding. You must stop taking these at least 2 weeks before any scheduled surgery. Use with caution if you are taking blood-thinning medications like warfarin or aspirin.
